The food was really good. The drinks were fantastic. Out waiter..maybe 8 was too much to handle for him, but then again maybe the 8 of US were too much. The guy at the door, I think the manager, was very attentive! I truly enjoyed my experience! And would absolutely come here again!!!

Usually go the Andover location but went to North Andover Food was good, everything we had was fresh and served hot and yummy. The waiter service was a very big turn off. I watched as he went to three other tables besides ours to check on things, but could not come to our table. i finally went to the bar to ask for a soda refill which I was told they cannot fill soda from that bar. Waiter finally brought the soda re-fill, which then my daughter needed a soda refill also. I think the biggest dis came at the end of the night. The waiter had run my credit card for the bill and I was sitting there, waiting for my daughter who had gone to the ladies room. Still dirty items on the table, which he had not cleared, but reached over me and said excuse me to pick up the check. In all my years of dining, I have NEVER EVER SEEN or experienced this. Normally the etiquette is to leave on the table and retrieve when the guests have left. It is not like there were people waiting for a table, or they were closing. On the way out I flagged the manager who, or I think who was the manager who I told him what happened. Not sure if he understood anything I said to him, but did not say a word or sorry. Will not be going back.

The gluten free options are extremely limited which is strange since most Mexican food is naturally gluten free. I got a dish that had frozen rubbery shrimp and what tasted like stale rice. Will not be coming back.

I was thinking to myself that I needed to leave a review and I realized that I did, so long ago! I am still a regular guest here and I cannot say enough about this place. Roberto is the man. Period. The food is delicious. I have my "go to's" but I also try to order different things every once in a while. Either way, it's great and consistent with perfect presentation. Margaritas are strong and the perfect blend of citrus and sweet, no crappy house tequila here. I'm confused by the mediocre reviews, as it's obvious that this place takes enormous pride in their work. The food is wonderful, the drinks hit the spot. The dishes are always presented beautifully and the place is spotless. In closing, the roasted tomato salsa: try it. You'll love it :)

Went in for a quick bite with a buddy. The burritos are huge, tasty are reasonably priced from $12.00. The Habanero Salsa; OOLALA, It was hot but freakin' good! It's nice to see a Mexican place that's not afraid of the hot stuff (they have the mild stuff too). The waiter was a character with a good attitude. I asked for a special accommodation and he handled it like a rock star. Good job! I eat a lot of Mexican and this place seems to "get it" with good tasty food and decent service. Parking can be a challenge; otherwise it's a decent experience.

Let me start by saying I'm a big fan of this chain. The Beverly and Amesbury stores primarily and the Rowley store too. The names of the restaurants may vary but they all have the same menu. However, I found myself at the North Andover store, Casa Blanca, on a recent evening and was let down significantly. The food was OK ... it was a weeknight and the place was very slow so when dishes came out missing things like guac and such, I wasn't too surprised. Our server, the bartender (proprietor/owner?) didn't seem to want to be there but the service was, again, OK. Now if you have ever tried the house margarita's here, you will know they are some of the best. Whether it's straight out of the gun or the giant silver cooler, the house margarita here is really good. AND ... it's only $7. So at the end of the meal I decided that a margarita would be a nice way to finish. I watched as they were made and I saw a very heavy pour on the triple sec and a short pour on the premixed margy. Took a sip and yes indeed it was sicky sweet. Then I looked at the bill. We had been charged for a Casa Blanca margarita at $9. Never saw a Grand Marnier floater either which is good, because I can't stand that stuff. So I bring it to the bartenders attention and HE tells me that the Casa Blanca is the house margarita. "That's what Casa means," he says. I explain that "I know, Casa Blanca means white house" and he turns and just walks away. If you're going to call the Casa Blanca the "house" margarita, don't also have a margarita called the "House" on the menu. I mean ... pee on my head but don't tell me it's raining. Now typically, I tip very generously ( 25-30% in most cases) because I know many folks in the industry. So we left him a 15% tip which we regretted by the time we got to the car. We will not be back.

Skinny margarita is now on the menu. However margarita pitchers still off menu Also they will do a half order of guacamole if you ask. The full order is a lot for two people.

Always a decent meal here and a good price. Guacamole and margaritas are super. Enchiladas and tacos and such are tasty but not remarkable. Service is good.

We came here tonight, after already eating dinner, for margaritas and man are they good. But you have to order the ultimate margarita. Everything else is just ok. The chips and salsa are out of this world. As soon as we sat down at the bar a big basket of hot chips was placed in front of us and devoured. They were great. The staff is also extremely friendly and also atentative. As soon as we were in the last sip of our drink they were making us a new one, with our permission of course. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone. The atmosphere is great and so is the staff and food. Defiantly worth a visit.

So...we just ordered take out from there new haverhill location. I went to pick it up and waited 15 min for the food. I ordered queso fondito and cheese dip with these tosquito apps. Plus two dinners. I literally live 2 min. From this place. I get home...food was ice cold. No nachos for my apps. Absolutely disgusting...nothing like there sister restaurants and the manager was a complete asshole insisting we ordered the wrong thing and there queso comes in a hardened cheese form. Lol I lived in east LA..for a year and I know what Mexican food tastes like. I have been to the north Andover location was happy. Like every other place on that corner down town...it won't last. Piss poor food and piss poor management!

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant and one of the only things I miss about living in MA. I had the pleasure of eating here several times and I was usually happy w/ the food. I LOVE their brochetas and pollo pepe although the brochetas were sometimes overly oily. I've had better salsa at other restaurants- they are kinda lacking in flavor. The service was usually good and they were always good at refilling the chips & salsa which kept my boyfriend happy. The prices are good and you get a lot of food. The decor at the North Andover location isn't as nice as North Billerica's but I preferred the food in North Andover. The parking lot can be a pain but once your tummy tastes the deliciousness that awaits, you'll forget about the hassle.

Awful. Absolutely terrible. Had not one, but two! Extra charges on my card. Called the next day, nobody "available" allll day and night. Have had to resort to the bank to recoup these fraudulent charges. Don't waste your time and a lot more money than you bargained for.

Went here last night for an early dinner with Hubbie and my son. This was the first time I'd ever been here and I have to say I was not overly impressed. Mixed reviews on just about everything. To start, our server was slightly below mediocre. I would have said mediocre, but he never offered us drink refills and in fact we didn't see him again after that "first bite check" until it was past time to clear the plates. Hubbie had a chicken fajita salad. There was plenty of chicken...but hardly any peppers or tomatoes..and barely noticeable helping of cheese. My son had the pork tacos and they looked filling and he really enjoyed them. I got the Casa Blanca trio because I wanted to try a variety of things. I had it with a beef taco, a chicken enchilada and a chicken chimuchanga. I tried some of all three and they were very tasty. The refried beans were okay but the rice was pretty sticky and not that good. When our server came to clear the plates, he was all set to just toss the remainder of my meal and my husband had to stop him to say that we wanted to take the leftovers home ( I had only eaten about half of the very generous portion). When the waiter returned with my leftovers he said "dessert?" Which, having enough, we declined. I may or may not return here. There are enough Mexican restaurants in this area that excel in food and service that I don't feel the need to return to Casa Blanca anytime soon.

Best Mexican and Margaritas in the Merrimack Valley hands down. All of the food is good and recommended. You need to try the Casa Wings if you like buffalo style wings. Give it a shot.

  • Robin W.

It is pricey for Mexican food and I have had the occasional blah meal here I will admit. But...they have probably the best chips and salsa of any Mexican restaurant I have been to in New England. They used to serve an amazing green sauce with the chips which I think is still available if you ask for it. My favorite meals here are the enchiladas suizas and tacos al pastor. I love their rice and beans--I think it is probably my favorite in the area as well because it is very simple tasting and you can always kick it up with some salsa if you want. This place is probably pretty Tex-Mexy but I love Tex-Mex is the food of my homeland so I don't mind. At the very least, go for the chips and salsa and their potent margaritas.

  • Kat B.

Excellent food, excellent staff, freshest chips & salsa. Ordered the California Wrap Burrito and the Casa Blanca Burrito, a house margarita and a strawberry/colada margarita, all of which were phenomenal! So take a trip here, eat up, & drink up!

If you're looking to go to Casa Blanca, go to the one in Andover Center NOT North Andover. 1. Service wasn't great as we had to hail the bartender down each time 2. The food was okay, the rice and chicken mole enchaladas really should've been much better in taste 3. Margaritas were really weak, so my friend and I switched to beer 4. Overall, skip this location and go to their Andover location for fantastic service and better food

  • Monica W.

Not the best Mexican food in the area but certainly not the worst. Lots too choose from not the menu so there is definitely something for everyone. Huge drink menu as well; I myself am not a huge tequila drinker but there was a fairly large selection to choose from. Warm chips and salsa before the meal - always a plus in my book. Quesadillas, fish tacos and enchiladas all got thumbs up around the table. Good customer service, knowledgable waitstaff. The drink I ordered (Tequila Sunrise) was a bit strong for my taste - but my mom and boyfriend really enjoyed their margaritas. Parking lot was tough to navigate but would not deter me from going back.

Could have been much worse, but overall not impressed. The child's grilled cheese was unfortunately cold and had the wrong sides (though the sides were quickly remedied). The guacamole fresco was very tasty, everyone agreed it was by far the best "dish" ordered. Honestly, I would probably take the time and drive to Plaza Azteca in Salem/Methuen or pick a different type of cuisine rather than trying again.

Ok so the decor is plain. But it's clean. This IS a Mexican family restaurant after all. The chips are warm and fresh and plentiful. Three sauces. The dishes are fresh and loaded with quality food. Great mole sauce! Good drinks and tasty and reasonably priced compared to others in the area, though they don't quite make a frozen anything quite right (more like chunky.) Had an amazingly good waitress named Amanda. She even tended to our little son. Minus one star for lack of parking and the chunky ice in drink. Otherwise fantastic.

I have been here twice and I wont be back anytime soon. I wasn't too impressed with any of food. It was very bland and mediocre quality-wise. I ordered a chimichanga was small and tasteless. The mexican rice was a little odd too, they added frozen veggies. Their salsa isnt bad, but it is watery, so if you dont like watery salsa this isnt for you. The tacos werent anything to write home about either. I say dont bother coming here.

I love coming to this Casa Blanca location. All of the staff here are really accommodating and really go out of their way to ensure that the customer is satisfied. The complimentary tortilla chips with various types of salsas are really good. I suggest you ask for the habanero salsa if you're feeling ballsy it's really yummy with a kick. I love the appetizers as well especially the Casa spicy wings they are perfect every time. Their food is very good and the portions are excellent. The bartenders are awesome and the drinks are all very satisfying. This has become one of my go to spots for dinner and drinks, especially after a long work week.

Casa Blanca is situated next to the Lawrence Airport, so if you arrive at night and see flashing lights, you are not losing your mind. The parking situation may help you with that, though. One of our party, arriving after us, had to wait fifteen minutes for a spot to open up. If you can carpool to this place on a busy Friday night, do so. The interior of the restaurant is pleasant, well light and has enough seating for groups. The waitstaff was helpful and attentive, and patient when told that we had to wait for another person. We were pleased with the warm chips brought to the table, but the accompanying salsas were watery and bland, even the hot salsa. I ordered the fish tacos. They came with three tacos, beans, rice, cabbage, pico de gallo and "white sauce." The rice and beans arrived in cups made of fried corn tortillas. The beans were delicious. I ate them, fried cup and all. I could find no fault with the fish tacos, although not spectacular, the ingredients were fresh tasting. I'd call this a safe bet. The rice was bland, but freshly made. The bar was very popular. At the entrance there is a locked, glass display of specialty Mexican liquors. Next time in the area, I'd consider returning to Casa Blanca to try more of the offerings.

We've driven by Casa Blanca many times and thought it was time to give it a try. Sadly, we won't be going back. The food was average. I expected better for the prices charged. The drink I ordered was not very good and also came with a premium price tag. Service was good... although when we asked the waiter about the types of salsas he gave us, he called one "brown salsa." That didn't make it seem very appetizing. Overall Casa Blanca isn't a bad place, it is just overpriced for what you get. A reduction in prices would earn it 3 stars.

Came for an early dinner and tried the Shrimp Casa Blanca. What a tasty dish! Shrimp was slighly overcooked but everything else was delicious. Hubby ordered a Fajita Combo (Chicken and Steak).. he enjoyed his dinner as well. The raspberry iced tea was also a winner. Will be back!

This is my favorite restaurant! The chicken Mexicali chimichanga is the best dinner on earth! The food is flavorful, the drinks are delicious and strong, and the servers are so nice! There Sangria is the best around! I have eaten Mexican food all over the world and Casa Blanca's is the best!

I was so happy to have stumbled on this fabulous gem of a Mexican restaurants! It was clean, casual (but, not inappropriately casual) great atmosphere, wonderful wait staff who were not only friendly but yet, attentive and then, of course, the food and drinks were fabulous! I travel frequently in the NorthEast and have eaten many places but, will definitely make it a point to return to Casa Blanca! I would highly recommend!

I went here for the first time last week. Can't say I was impressed. I usually travel to Plaza Azteca in Methuen but I decided to try out Casa Blanca. It was not one of my better ideas.

This place is not Good the free salsa you get is watered down and makes the chips soggy and it's a bit over priced for what you get and don't get me started on the parking lot hard to get in and out

So goood! Especially their salsas (all three) made from scratch. The pacifico burrito is really delicious, too. Yet to have somethign I didn't like!

  • Linda W.

FOOD = Good and consistent and at a good price. Veggie Fiesta platter is excellent. WAIT STAFF = Friendly, but--how shall I put this delicately?--sometimes "dumb as a brick." I had a very unpleasant experience when a waiter couldn't figure out how to deduct my coupon. He was throwing a fit and also mistyped the final amount in the computer. I also have no idea why, when I say, "I want ALL of my leftovers," that only half of it shows up in the container. This has happened multiple times with different wait staff. PARKING = Very tight. Avoid Friday and Saturday nights; otherwise you might have to park elsewhere and take a shuttle van.

    (3)
  • Kate D.

The food here is pretty onpoint although a tad on the expensive side. I've been twice and once the service was mediocre and the second time, the service was fantastic but not so much by the server we had (again mediocre) but the personal service of the manager on duty (could have been the owner). The waitstaff could use a bit more personality and personal service skills. The parking is pretty horrible (always just about full) although there are apparently shuttles that go to the restaurant (any one else find that strange?) There are two separate sections of this restaurant - one more dim and a place where you'd take a date and the other a bit more open and family-friendly. Either way, not a bad place - great food but a few improvements could be made.

Very good Americanized Mexican food. If your looking for authentic mexican, this isn't your place, but if you want a solid Chimichanga, a decent Margarita, and some good appetizers, this place will do just fine. The sampler plater is a great way to go and was more than enough for an after-work "meal" for 2. The main courses were good, very Americanized (Cheddar cheese, ground beef, hard taco shells, etc) but really tasty. The chips and salsa were great (you get a little of 3 different types of salsa, which was nice for someone like me who likes a little of everything). Drinks likewise were better than average. Bartender / staff were really nice and helpful. They actually bumped this place up a star for me. Decor is somewhat like a chain Mexican place, but not distracting or overly cheesy. I've gotta say, if you're looking for an AMAZING Mexican restaurant, it's worth the drive into Lawrence for Cafe Azteca, but if you want a nice, relaxed place to grab a drink and some good food after work, Casa Blanca will set you right.

Casa Blanca is by far my favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. The food is always delicious and cooked perfectly. I love that they serve FREE homemade chips and salsa. i have never been disappointed. The drinks are good, great size for a great price. I have never received poor service. The wait staff is always very friendly and on top of everything. If you "like" casa Blanca on Facebook you can be entered into a weekly drawing to win a $25 gift certificate. the only downfall is the parking lot is kind of small, but the service and food makes up for it!

I went on a Saturday night around 830. I'd say food gets 4 stars. Chips and salsa is really great! I got the trio enchiladas, those were good, not great, but good. The atmosphere, that's another story. It feels like a Mexican Ground Round. That's why they get 3 stars.

This restaurant use to be excellent ..did it change owners ? Food was bland, credit card was incorrectly charged twice, ordered takeout and they forgot items... the only thing good here is the homemade nacho chips and salsa otherwise stay away.

Yes. I came here for a birthday dinner, and it was actually pretty good food! All of the food I tried was great, seafood burritos, rice beans..you name it. It was all good. I do say try it if you are close by. One thing that was kinda eeek that someone else mentioned was the salsa..It was pretty watery, it tasted good, but wish it weren't something to mix with tequila and shoot it down, ya know?

For a place in North Andover, it was pretty good Hispanic food. However, it cannot hold a candle to my beloved Peruvian and Columbian places in Eastie. The portions are huge and pretty tasty. The martini I had was decent, also. However, the thing that bothered all of us was the fact that she kept calling us amigos. I understand that it is probably a signature of the restaurant, but it got rather annoying after a while.

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. Immediately after being seated, hot tortilla chips and three different salsas (verde, traditional red, and some sort of fire-roasted tomato) are delivered. They offer refills on these as well. We love the jalapeno berry margaritas. My husband usually gets the chile colorado, and I usually get the chimichanga with shredded beef that is covered with white queso. The service is prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable. We usually go for lunch or an early dinner, so parking has never been a problem.

  • Melly H.

I went here for the first time, a early dinner it was. The place looks clean and was very slow, but it was early. The server came out with hot chips and a three different dips. The plan salsa was a bit watered down but wasn't that bad of a flavor. I ordered the ground beef chimichanga with beans and rice, my friend ordered a shredded beef burrito. Although hers came out ground beef the server said no problem on getting the right one. The portions are huge and I have to say it is the second best chimichanga I've eaten. My friend had been there many times before and saying they have never disappointed her. Although our server was nice he seemed to mess a few things up, one being the order then we got the wrong bill when time to pay. Although a bit of a hike from my location, if I'm ever in the area I would return.

Took the family here for dinner recently since it's around the corner for us. This place is cramped and dirty. The service was pretty bad too. The waiter just rushed us and provided no help when asked questions about a specific dish. I realize this place is a Mexican restaurant, not the Capital Grill or something but this was one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a while. Won't be going back.

Sorry to rate an establishment so low, but I did not find anything redeeming about this restaurant. My dad, and I went here for lunch and the service and food was mediocre. I had the chicken faijita tacos and he had the carnitas. both were dry and nothing special. Overpriced for less than decent food. Sorry!

  • Alan L.

This is the second time for my wife and I to visit this restaurant. Our waitress was fantastic and the food was awesome. I have to agree that salsa is not as good as it can be, but it is still good. The desserts were VERY good. My wife had the fried ice cream and I had the apple burrito and one word, YUM.

  • Chrissy H.

Meh- not bad, not great. My stomach was hambre and it did the trick. I got a lunch special, the tres combo. Two tacos and an enchilada with beans and rice on the side. The meat in the tacos was really bland. No spice, no onions, just fried ground beef. Wasn't bad ground beef, just boring. All they need is a little chili powder, comino and some onions and they'd be all set. I'll admit that for a Massachusetts Mexican restaurant it isn't bad. But being from Texas and half Mexican makes me a tough critic. Cute place for lunch if you're in the area, but not worth the drive up to North Andover.

  • Meg C.

This place has the saddest salsa I have ever experienced. That's right, it wasn't just flavorless, it was depressing to look at and eat. The salsa was just tomato juice with a few pieces of tomato and onion floating around in it. It was definitely an insult to the fresh chips, which I enjoyed without the faux-salsa. The "Ultimate Margarita" was oddly named since it is the most normal flavor on the menu. I guess it is because it contains top shelf tequila, ooh la la. I was hoping to get at least a buzz off my $9 drink, but it was a bit weak for me. Still, it was tasty and not too sugary. The food here is about as authentic as a place with potato skins on the menu can get. My chimichanga was puny, but my friend's burrito was enormous. The dish I ordered was kind of bland, the enchilada sauce was totally useless. It definitely could have used some heat at the very least. The refried beans were pretty good, but the rice was terrible. Guac was solid, I should have ordered more. Our server was nice enough and the food came relatively fast. I think this restaurant could definitely benefit from some hot sauce on the table and a lesson in making salsa.

First for context -- I'm a native Texan who's lived in Mexico. I don't expect to find Mexico in Boston -- I expect to find good Mexican (TexMex) influence on the food. So, unlike others, I don't ding them for atmosphere that's not truly Mexican, etc. With that said, I thought it was very good. I liked their variety of sauces for the chips. I was surprised about the reviewer who thought the chips were the best -- they were average (and you want great, go to Cielito Lindo in Beverly where they make their own). For the main courses, we have Fish Tacos, Spinach Enchiladas, and a Vegetarian Burrito. Everyone loved the dishes. I had the fish tacos, and I loved that the Talapia was grilled (not fried). All of the garnishes were on the side, so I could put them together as I wanted. The plate was very hot (almost like from the microwave) which had the part of the tortilla touching the plate get hard as the meal went on. In tasting the other two dishes, they were very flavorful. I even liked the refried beans -- they had flavor cooked into them vs. tasting like they came out of a can. I appreciated they served fresh brewed iced tea -- something you get less of in the northeast, but something I think is important in these types of restaurants. Service was good -- almost too attentive.

Best chips and salsa around, I fill up on them and then force myself to east at least half of my chimichanga. The menu seems to always be changing which is nice. Casa Blanca is a top 2 or 3 Mexican restaurant in the area.

So I went here, fairly late, around 9. Didn't think I would be able to get a table with the person I was with. They came over to the hostess stand and said no problem! Walked us in the back room by the bar and sat us at a booth. Our server, was a women who was very friendly! I ended up getting the chicken fajita's with the soft corn tortilla and shared them with the person I was with. This was enough food for the two of us. They also bring over chips with 3 different salsa's. I got a mojito- nothing crazy though. The food was very good and service was great. Would definitely go back.

Just moved back from Chicago, and this is the first mexican restaurant that we have been recommended that is the most authentic in the area. My husband is from Las Vegas, and a true-blood mexican. He loves this place. Besides a taco shop in Haverhill near his work, we basically eat here every date night we can get. Their taco dish is amazing. Their chips are good, and the guacamole is very good and fresh. Their salsa is more like an authentic salsa (not the can/bottle made kind), and if you like HOT salsa, ask for it and you shall receive it. It's very hot, be forewarned. I do agree their margarita's are subpar, but their food outshines that problem in my opinion.

I'm not a big Mexican restaurant fan but honestly in my honestly little experience in this kind of dining, like chains and fast food let's say, this was hands down very good. They lose a star because the parking there is awful when there is no need for it and that the inside is also very small but otherwise I was very happy to eat here. The food was so fresh, and the staff from hostess to waiter to busboy were all very kind. Their menu is amazingly vast, and includes every combination of anything one would want in a Mexican restaurant. I had the fish tacos, which are one of my favorite foods, and was so impressed by the sauce and the freshness of everything presented and the portions were giant! Go here if you enjoy a good, affordable, Mexican meal! You won't be disappointed.

A year ago I would have given Casa Blanca three or four stars. The food was good and it was a step up from say, Margarita's. But I hadn't been to the restaurant in several months (I think the last time was back in the fall?) and in that time they changed the menu (slightly) and jacked their prices way up. To the point that the food just really is not worth it. Tonight I had the Mexicali Chimichanga. The cheese sauce was mediocre and the size of the chimichanga (for the money) was tiny? It was about half of the size of what it should have been. My friend asked me how I was enjoying my mini-chimi. I special ordered their black beans, which have always been good in the past and I have to say that they did not let me down. Even the salsa was a let down. They used to bring out the salsa (which tasted homemade) in jars so you could pour out how much you wanted. Now they brough out tomato-flavoured water with slices of tomatoes and onions in it. I would not go out of my way to go back. I can honestly say, for the price and the quality of food, I would rather go to Margaritas.

Went to lunch on a recent Sat afteroon, it wasnt very busy so parking wasnt a problem. I started with avacado dip as an app and it was good. The salsa didn't bother me as much as some people but could definately use a revamp, but the chips also came with something like pico de gallo which was good. When my party of 4 asked for more chips/salsa that pico thing wasn't refilled, bummer. For lunch I got the veggie combo. It was ok, nothing amazing. The chimi changa was very small. The margarita was the weakest I have ever had anywhere, do not waste your cash on one here. The staff was very nice, as we were leaving the manager asked how our meal was and had come by our table during lunch to check on us. It did take a while to get our check and a waiter had asked if I wanted a to go box but never brought it until I asked again. Come to find out I didnt really need it anyway, it wasnt good enough to throw in my micro and eat again. My advice is hit Margaritas, maybe not "authentic" but the drinks are good and strong and they keep that wonderful salsa comin'

We have friends that love this place, and we've been several times. Service has never been that great, and we've found the atmosphere to be a little lacking. The food really is not authentic Mexican, and didn't have a ton of flavor. We also felt that the prices were a little high for what we got.

Went again last Saturday night. It is fair at best. Overall atmosphere is good but food is very plain and "americanized". There are better choices in the area. Cafe Azteca is much more authentic. Parking can be an issue but they now have shuttle from the parking lot down the street.

In the spirit of "if you can't say something nice ..." I had always wondered why this place had so many fans. I think it's the fact that the owners are extremely friendly. They are. I can't say the same for the bar staff, which was surly on the only night I went there. In addition, pitchers of margaritas were pricey, weak and heavy on poor-quality pre-fab mixer. The food was similarly subpar, not even up to the standards of the frozen Mexi-Minis I can buy at the Methuen Market Basket. Still, this place was jam-packed, so what do I know? Mi Mexico Lindo in Methuen is far superior though, the last time I was we were there during dinner hour (well before 9 p.m.), the music (spun by a new DJ -- an unwelcome addition) was ear-splitting (but the manager ordered it turned down upon our request).

DISCLAIMER: 1) I travel ALOT: LA, San Fran., Portland, Seattle, Santa Fe, Denver, Topeka, Chicago, Indianapolis, Dallas, NJ, NY, Atlanta, Boston, Cambridge, London, Zurich and even Madrid 2) Plus I am vegetarian(no red meat nor poultry), so this will be biased 3) All my experiences at Taco Bell in Lawrence have been negative so I thought this might be a positive change 1st time: the meal was reasonable(3.5 stars)and considering the crowd they were effcient but when ordering the staff seemed confused to my order --- I pointed to the items on the menu 2nd time: the staff conversed well but the meal was unacceptable(1 star). I was raised with the ideal not to waste food but I simply could not eat the meal. I ate less than half the plate. I can appreciate that management is making food to appeal to the major portion of their demographics. However, having eaten at major cities, airports, and "middle of nowhere" places, I can not recommend this place based on my experiences at other places that have been both family owned as well as operated by faceless corporations.

Went there for a second time this past Saturday. Had the Enchiladas Mezatlan dish which was phenomenal. The rice was delicious and the enchiladas were packed well with crab meat and shrimp. Scrumptious dinner. The place has a great ambiance and the owner does a great job in ensuring customers are satisfied. I hope to go back as soon as possible. Had a few frozen margs. Very sneaky margs. Will be going back soon. Lucked out on the parking situation.

We can't seem to stay away from this restaurant. Mexican food is by far my favorite, and I've had a hellavu time finding good Mexican food since we moved here. Thanks to my coworkers, I found Casa Blanca and I have to say, the food is phenomenal, and as about authentic as you are going to get this far from Mexico. The service is fantastic- fast and attentive. I've yet to have a problem getting things vegan- they already have a great vegetarian menu, and when I ask for no cheese it's always complied with, no questions asked (unlike at most restaurants. "No Cheese." ..."no...cheese?" "Yes, No. Cheese." "No...Cheese...At all?" Guh.) The place is clean, the service great, the food fantastic, the deserts even better, the drinks aren't watered down, and I'd give this place 6 stars if I could. Sure the parking is tight, but I've never had a problem, even on a packed Saturday night.

Absolutely terrible! We still make jokes about having gone here. It got one star because the beer was frosty cold otherwise I could not give it any stars! :( We had fajitas for two, WAY over priced and it tasted like it had been overcooked the day before a reheated for sizzle for us. It literally stuck to the cast iron pan. Everything with it was blah, bland! Our son visiting from AZ just rolled his eyes and laughed. Atmosphere minimally ok and service was fine but....food is not a priority with them. Makes Cafe Azteca in Lawrence seem like such a gourmet at fast food prices!

3 stars for the food, and a half star because it's the best you'll get in the area. It's better than Taco Bell but it's no Tacos Lupita. We had a meal there that was good enough for us to go back someday. Staff was friendly, service was quick, everything seemed clean, and the parking was weird. The lot was more than half full but the restaurant wasn't. I wouldn't bring anyone from Texas here, but as a local place it's a nice change. Really I want to give this place 3.5 stars but I'll give it 3 because it's not a 4.

Having only found this wonderful restaurant about 2 months ago, I must tell you that my wife and I have visited it 6 times since then -- and continue to be amazed at the food and great service we received during each of our visits. I love a MOLE sauce and theirs is especially tasty. I strongly recommend this restaurant as a place you should visit often

*Out front, a decorative Santa Claus riding on a motorcycle that lights up...and they turn the Santa off and only leave his motorcycle lit after the holidays = Minus 1 star *A parking lot with enough spaces for only half their capacity...which then causes an overflow onto Rt. 125 that the police department has to deal with and slow down my speeding = Minus 1 star *A table setup so crowded and jammed that it's impossible to make your way to your table, the restroom, or exit without getting an elbow or arm rest to the nut = Minus 1 star *Being the only Mexican restaurant in North Andover = Plus 1 star *Margaritas = Plus 1 star, natch. It's sad that I had better Mexican food at a restaurant called Tampicos in southeastern Ohio/northern West Virginia...cuz ya know, the Midwest is so cultural.

Nice family restaurant atmosphere with decent food, but not too tasty and not too authentic. I wasn't impressed by the food but it wasn't terrible either.

Went today for a late lunch/early dinner. Given it's a Sunday it wasn't crowded at all. We were seating right away (only about 5 other tables had people) we still waiting almost 10 min. for someone to come and take our drink order (which was annoying since the person that sat us gave us chips/salsa). The chips were delish, the salsa - I agree with everyone else. It's just "OK". Nothing special. It would have been nice for someone to tell us what the diferences were (there were 3 types). Once our waitor finally came over, we asked him for me, which he brought over quickly. We ordered (there were 4 of us) 2 Fajita Chicken Burrito's, 1 Chicken Fajita Quesedilla and one order of the Tres Amigo's (which was chicken, shrimp and steak). As the waitor was walking away after he took our order, I asked him what my meal came with, which he then told me it came with a choice of 2 sides. Um, thanks for asking me what I wanted for my sides. Apparently the Tres Amigo's came with a choice of 2 sides as well. Hm.. Again, thanks for asking. The food was good, my husband (not a fan of Mexican food) enjoyed the Tres Amigos and I thought the burrito was average. Nothing special. The waitor was quick to refill our drinks (we all had sodas). The total bill came to $67, which was pretty good considering the large portions. Looks like I know what I'll be having for lunch tomorrow. Overall, experience was good (we had a gift cert. which is why we tried it). Personally, I enjoyed the food at the new Mexican restaurant in Methuen better.

I don't know what has taken me so long in reviewing this place. I was very impressed by the service and food while dining with my family this past summer. The portions were very good and everything tasted very fresh. The waitress we had was very accommodating and friendly. I have since gotten take-out with my girlfriends and we were very happy with the take-out portions and the great packing of the take-out. This may seem like a small thing, but it is never a good thing to get home and find your queso has spilled all over your tacos. I will definitely be back!

Seeing as I am Italian not Mexican I can not verify the authenticity of the food here. However I can tell you that it's very good. The shrimp Casa Blanca is always great. The portions will never leave you hungry. The service is always friendly & the food comes out hot, quick & most importantly fresh. This is not a south western restaurant, this is not a tex-mex restaurant, this is a Mexican restaurant. Get the Ultimate margarita, you get your choice of any top shelf tequila. Go with the Don Julio. Comments about parking are true, the parking lot is not large enough to accommodate the restaurant, however they have come up with an alternative. There is a small plaza just down the road & they have a shuttle.

I've lived in North Andover for a little under a year now, but, have not tried this location. I have been to the location in Andover center and really enjoyed it the couple times I went. The servers were friendly and I got exactly what I asked for. My friend was in from Oregon and hadn't seen her in a while so we opted for someplace close by. I remembered how good the guacamole for 4 people was in Andover and thought this place was a good idea. We ordered the guacamole option for 4 people as an appetizer for some reason we killed it and were still hungry. When i went to the one in Andover, my boyfriend and I had leftovers, after all it is made for 4 people, but, 2 people finished it in no time i dont understand why the serving amounts would be different. i was disappointed and still hungry. So, being a vegan i knew my options were limited, i figured i'd ask for a salad with balsamic dressing. When i asked for a super simple salad that was vegan friendly i was told by the waiter no, that id have to order one of the regular salads and get beans. I told him no, i wanted pretty much a garden salad and basic dressing. He told me they didnt have balsamic dressing either. That they would not be willing to make me a salad- He wasnt apologetic at all and was really rude about it, so we asked for the bill and I didn't want to try anything else neither did my friend... When i asked to change a $ 20 he laughed and told me he didnt think he could (this is a restaurant, you should be able to give people change, it wasn't a 100 dollar bill) I would have stayed longer, spent more money and wrote a good review if the waiter wasn't so rude and unhelpful. Yes, I knew this wasn't a "vegan" friendly restaurant, but, you can make things without items or with them very easily. I go to chain restaurants all of the time and order things without cheese or meat. They didnt have any probelms serving me in Andover. One other thing that made me feel weird was the way they force all of their servers to say "amigo and amiga" i think it's degrading to their culture to be forced to say cliche Mexican sayings to white customers, i find it to mock their Mexican culture and heritage. I wouldnt expect someone like myself to be forced to say "how" because I am part Native American at a restaurant or business. I wont be back here.

Last time I went it was a couple of months ago. The parking situation is a problem, since it can't accommodate wall their customers when they are busy. The food is nothing out of the ordinary, sort of polished Taco Bell food, and the tables are one on top of the other - don't go if you are claustrophobic. It was worth the trip, because now I can say I at least tried it, but I don;t see me going back any time soon.

Whenever I walk into this place- I feel as if someone just put up some decorations for Cinco de Mayo; the decor is very festive. It's nice to see a restaurant at this location finally succeed. There always seems to be a decent crowd which makes parking very difficult. The food is your standard fare. They have crispy hot homemade chips that are delicious. The menu is fairly extensive serving everything from Chimichangas to Fajitas to Burgers. The quality of the food could use a little work- specifically the meat- but overall it is a great spot for locals, friends and family to have a fun time.

The food is similar to what you'd expect at a Mexican themed chain restaurant. It is by no means authentic or inspired. The portions are large, however. While there are better options in the area for Mexican food, I still go to Casa Blanca occasionally.

The service was awful - who was a bus boys and who where the waiters? It took 15 mins for a 12 year boy to even acknowledge he had us as a table and than on top of that he was distracted by the 12 year waitresses. I felt like I was in a Save by the Bell episode. The food was not authentic Mexican food and lacked any real flavor. The margarita smelled like rubbing alcohol. Over all I would never recommend anyone to this place.

Opps...I couldn't understand the many mediocre reviews for casa until todays lunch. I had the Casa taco plate and Taco Bell really gives it a run for the money. Anyhow I still love the chili colorado. I am droping Casablanca to 2 stars...not worth much of a trip, but for local cheap eats give it a whirl

Banned - head to Azteca in Lawrence instead. It's an affront to Mexican food.

I've been to this place numerous times and it's nothing special. Most of the food is frozen and the service is terrible. They screwed up my order twice and still charged me. When I asked the owner for a drink he said "wait a minute" when the place was dead. I will never go back. If you want authentic mexican go to Cafe Aztecca in Lawrence.

Service is good, but the food is bland, soggy crap that tastes like Taco Bell.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
